Monday 12th November 2012 – AFC Wimbledon v York City – Live @ 7:30pm ESPN will broadcast exclusively live coverage of two FA Cup First Round replays, kicking off with York City’s visit to take on AFC Wimbledon. The League Two sides drew 1-1 in their meeting last Saturday and will be familiar with each other coming into this game, with a league match between them scheduled just two days before this replay. The hosts go into this fixture knowing they could face MK Dons in the second round for the first time in their history if the Milton Keynes side win their First Round replay against Cambridge City. It would be the first time the two clubs have met since MK Dons were formed in 2004, following Wimbledon’s relocation to Milton Keynes. Wimbledon fans, who saw their club fall into administration, opposed the move and the renaming of the side and founded a new club, AFC Wimbledon.
Thursday 15th November 2012 – Altrincham v Burton Albion – Live @ 7:30pm ESPN’s second FA Cup First Round replay sees Conference North side Altrincham take on League Two outfit Burton Albion after a pulsating 3-3 draw between the sides this past weekend. Altrincham took a 2-0 advantage into half time only to be pegged back to 2-2. After retaking the lead in the 84th minute, their dreams of a second round tie were dashed by an injury-time equaliser from Burton’s leading scorer, Calvin Zola Makongo. A visit to League One strugglers Crewe Alexandra awaits the winners of this tie.
ESPN will broadcast 25 live and exclusive FA Cup matches this season, from the First Round through to the Final, ensuring fans won’t miss any of the competition’s unique drama and storylines. As well as selected replays through the tournament, the sports media company will televise two matches in the first two rounds, three matches from the third to fifth rounds, two quarter-finals, one semi-final and the FA Cup Final.
