A further treat for UFC fans arrives on ESPN screens in the form of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. This is a very special sporting programme, as the series is the hard-fighting discipline’s very own ‘reality TV’ show; and a format which – along with the hard-hitting appeal of the UFC sport, itself – has rapidly taken the world by storm.

For the very first time on UK screens, the grand finale of the series’ hit ‘reality-TV’ show was broadcast live from America to British screens, earlier this year. This particular format is valuable to the UFC in more ways than one, as, in addition to providing an ‘Apprentice’-style series winner, the programme has also helped launch several notable professional UFC careers.
